About the work
On November 11, 2007, several ships sink in the Black Sea during a storm. 15 crew members die. A ship, the Volganeft 139, loses 10,000 tons of fuel oil in the days following the storm. It is estimated that 30,000 birds (many of which are endangered) die as a result of the oil disaster. 50 km of Russian coastline is long smeared with oil.
