About the work

Bushmeat is meat that comes from the hunting of wild animals in the tropics. The demand for bushmeat is high and growing, particularly due to commercial trade (also outside Africa and Asia). If nothing is done about this uncontrolled trade, many animal species will become extinct in the near future. It particularly concerns large primates, but also, for example, elephants, hoofed animals, hippos, snakes, birds, and predators.

About 100 million kilos of bushmeat are eaten per year.
